Tom Brady gave a young NFL fan the trade of a lifetime at a recent sports memorabilia meetup, gifting him his rookie trading card worth $1,000.
The trade took place at ‘Topps Hobby Rip Night,’ a night dedicated to sports memorabilia hobbyists and trading cards.
The card, which was of Brady in his rookie year, was traded for the young fan’s DeVonta Smith Philadelphia Eagles jersey.
Brady told the youngster to “keep that card for a while,” referring to the fact that trading cards only increase in value with age.
The event brought out a star-studded lineup of hobbyists and traders including Michael Rubin, Kevin Hart and Travis Scott.
Brady ended up trading his newly acquired Smith jersey with Hart for an Eagles hat.
