No, they’re a sign that your cutting board is doing its job. Because wood is softer than your knife, it protects the blade from becoming dull. All wood boards will show knife marks, but with regular oiling, these marks can blend into the wood nicely.

Is this cutting board safe from toxins?

Absolutely! Everything we use to craft our boards is non-toxic and food safe. We avoid formaldehyde-based adhesives, phthalates, BPAs, microplastics, any PFAS like PFOS, and anything that could be harmful.

Why is it necessary to oil wood boards?

Your board gets thirsty just like you! Regular oiling every three weeks is vital for its health and durability. It prevents excess moisture where bacteria thrive and protects against drying out, which can lead to cracking and warping.
