According to journalist Ekrem Konur (h/t ESPN), Manchester United shall enter into contract talks with David de Gea amidst his outstanding form for the club.

The 31-year-old has become a mainstay at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson recruited him nearly a decade ago. It was not easy replacing Edwin van der Sar, but the Spaniard has done a stellar job under several managers.

2) Dean Henderson needs January loan to ensure season is not a write off

It was six months ago when Dean Henderson made his last Premier League appearance for Manchester United.

Looking at the current situation, barring an injury to David de Gea, it’s looking increasingly unlikely that the England international will make a top-flight appearance for the Reds in the next six months either.

Speaking to Football Insider (h/t Metro), Danny Mills has criticised Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for using Jadon Sancho as a wing-back in training. He was baffled to know about the revelation as he could not make sense of it.

The 21-year-old was one of United’s marquee signing this summer after he was bought for £75m from Borussia Dortmund. He emerged to become one of the most talented youngsters in the football world during his time in Germany.

4) Paul Pogba of Manchester United could join Real Madrid next summer as a free agent

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca (h/t ESPN), Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could decide to join Real Madrid for free in the summer, when his contract will expire. He was previously linked with a move to the Spanish capital when Zinedine Zidane was at the club.

5) Atletico Madrid hand blow to Manchester United in race to sign RB Leipzig ace Dominik Szoboszlai

According to transfer news on AS (h/t The Sun), Atletico Madrid could be in pole position to sign RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai despite interest from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old star left RB Salzburg to join their sister club in Germany at the start of this year. However, a long-term injury kept him out of the squad until the start of this season.

The youngster was also joined up by his former coach Jesse Marsch this season after the departure of Julian Nagelsmann. But he is apparently still frustrated over the lack of minutes as Dani Olmo, Christopher Nkunku, and Emil Forsberg are in competition with the Austrian over game-time this season.

6) Manchester United step up their effort for Zinedine Zidane to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

According to The Sunday Times (h/t Daily Mail), Manchester United are looking to convince Zinedine Zidane to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.

Zidane, 49, has been out of work since walking away from Real Madrid for a second time at the end of last season. The Frenchman’s record at Madrid is as impressive as one can ask for. He won three Champions Leagues and two LA Liga titles.

The living legend also worked with two of Man United’s star signings this summer, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Solskjaer joined the club as their manager on December 19, 2018, as he replaced Jose Mourinho at the helm on an interim basis.

However, in three years in charge, he has failed to win a single trophy and has already been on the losing side in the Europa League final.
