The Cubs gutted out a 10-inning win over the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday at Wrigley Field. After seven brilliant innings of one-run baseball from Shota Imanaga, featuring a new career-high 10 strikeouts from the All-Star, the Cubs staged a comeback to pull off the 2-1 win.

After a Nico Hoerner double, the Cubs tied the game in the 9th with a Sieya Suzuki RBI single – and won in the 10th on a bases loaded walk from Hoerner. As the trade deadline draws near, could Hoerner be a player the Cubs look to move? The Marlins acquired three top-15 system prospects and a reliever when they traded Luis Arraez earlier this season.

If the Cubs have any hopes of contending this season, they have to act fast. They are only 3.5 games back in the NL Wild Card race, but do not own any tiebreakers and there are five teams ahead of the Cubs for the third spot. Playing the Brewers could be a good way to make up ground.
