Chicago Cubs Baseball News | Shota Shuts Down Twins

As has been the case whenever Shota Imanaga pitches for the Chicago Cubs, the Northsiders were victorious. This time, seven innings and 10 strikeouts from Imanaga were enough to beat the Minnesota Twins 7-3 at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night.

Isaac Paredes launched his first home run in a Cubs uniform, a towering three-run shot into the wind at Wrigley that settled in the basket. Dansby Swanson’s three hit performance also aided the Cubs offensively as they cruised to a 7-3 win.

The Cubs are now 17-4 when Imanaga starts, according to Christopher Kamka, which is the best of any pitcher with 15+ starts.
