Chicago Cubs Baseball News | Imanaga vs Wheeler

The Cubs fell to a season worst 12 games out of first place in the NL Central after their 6-4 loss to the Phillies on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field. Seiya Suzuki’s 9th inning three-run home run was not enough for the Cubs, as Trea Turner clubbed two homers and drove in four for the Phillies.

Hayden Wesneski got the start for Chicago and allowed five runs and the Cubs went through a span of 16 straight retired by Phillies pitching.

As the trade deadline rapidly approaches, this team continues to trend closer and closer toward selling. As disappointing as it may be, this team continues to fail to show why they SHOULDNT sell.
