Ignas Brazdeikis is nearing a transfer to Olympiacos
Ignas Brazdeikis is in the final stages of completing a move to Olympiacos Piraeus.
Although Brazdeikis originally had a one-year contract with Zalgiris, the Lithuanian club has agreed to release him from the contract in exchange for a buyout payment.
Making his debut in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the Kaunas-born player averaged 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game in the 2022-23 season. He appeared in 35 games, starting in 28 of them.
Prior to this EuroLeague stint, Brazdeikis had played a total of 64 games in the NBA for teams such as the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, and New York Knicks during the earlier phase of his career.
